Hello October!

tellus-mater

So we are in October and I hardly feel as though the year has had time to get going, and yet here we are again!

We are of course in the full throttle of Autumn now and here in the Midlands the rains and winds have cordially reminded us of this over the last couple of weeks. It is a time for being kind to ourselves and doing small steps to 'cozy up' our home have been taking place over here with vigour.

I have a drawer full of candles of varying quality and smells, from the promise of one called 'Calm' to a 'Witches Brew' one picked up impulsively from TKMaxx, and a newly discovered penchant for Vinted has crept up on me.

Between writing and getting outside for some air and foraging it has been my go to for bargain bits and pieces these last few months. And with a little restraint it's proved largely brilliant. (However we now own a duck egg blue blanket as opposed to a grey one as advertised.) It's warm and it's wonderful, but it's certainly not grey! 😆

I've upgraded my hiking boots too in readiness for the winter, again through Vinted, and can't honestly believe how much comfier a quality boot truly is on my plates of meat as opposed to the lower quality boots I have been wearing these last few years! Mind blown!

We are off to France to celebrate my daughter's eighteenth very soon, and to sign off I want to thank all of you. Any of you who have attended a session with me, or perhaps engaged or supported me in any way on the journey that I took turning foraging from a hobby into a full-time job that I fondly refer to as 'werk'.

I will always be grateful. And we wouldn't be going without foraging and your support.

So have a lovely October all and enjoy the season! 🍂🍄‍🟫
